Matt Wilson provided the
offense and Adam McCarley had a
standout defensive night as
Phillips stopped Phil Campbell 36-18 on Friday.
Wilson scored three touchdowns and
McCarley had a school-record four
interceptions as the Bears (4-1)
beat the Bobcats.
Wilson finished with 111 yards on
20 carries, scoring on runs of 1,
8 and 2 yards.
Phillips led 20-6 at the half and
used a 16-point fourth quarter to
seal the win.
Kent Hallman added a touchdown and
a pair of two-point conversions.
McCarley, who had four of
Phillips' five interceptions, also
threw for 149 yards, including a
10-yard touchdown pass to Steven
Sutherland.
Wilson scored the first touchdown
on a 1-yard run and Hallman's
9-yard run gave the Bears a 12-0
lead.
Wilson's 2-yard run and McCarley's
2-point conversion run made it
20-6.
